Nine participants from the public and private sectors of Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Myanmar arrived in Tokyo on 1 March for the Coordination Meeting on National Project Plans under the Special Program for Capacity Building in the Food Industry in ASEAN Least Developed Countries at the APO Secretariat, 2–4 March. The meeting initiates a five-year program, funded under a special cash grant from the Government of Japan, that will assist participating countries in developing national workshops, training courses, and demonstration company projects for the agriculture and food industries. For the next three days, the group will learn about Japanese companies’ experience and engage in seminars and discussions to help develop national project plans.
