APO mission on Quality Awards covered in local Japanese paper
Multicountry Observational Study Mission on Quality Awards in APO Member Countries, 21―25 June 2010, Japan
An APO mission on Quality Awards in APO Member Countries visited Mie Prefecture from 22 to 24 June 2010 to study regional Quality Award systems and approaches for the enhancement of quality management.
Consisting of 17 participants from 13 member countries, the mission first gathered in Tokyo then traveled to Tsu City, the capital of Mie, central Japan. They were briefed on various activities from the Division Director of the Mie Quality Award Council and visited award-winning enterprises to observe their best practices first-hand.
The mission visit was covered by a local weekly newspaper, Mie Furusato Shimbun (Mie Hometown Newspaper, 1 July 2010 edition).
