Secretary-General Takenaka’s visit to Lao PDR and attendance at the workshop on the ODOP movement were reported in the local media.
APO Secretary-General Shigeo Takenaka recently visited Lao PDR in conjunction with the National Workshop on Development of the One District, One Product (ODOP) Movement which was supported by the APO and implemented by the Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion and Development Office (SMEPDO), the NPO for Lao PDR, 21−23 January 2009. During his stay in Lao PDR, Secretary-General Takenaka had a series of meetings with Prime Minister Bouasone and other key stakeholders on the ODOP movement as well as productivity promotion.
