During an official visit to Malaysia, APO Secretary-General Dr. Indra Pradana Singawinata paid a courtesy call on Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI) YB Liew Chin Tong at his office in Kuala Lumpur on 2 March. Together with APO Alternate Director for Malaysia Dato’ Abdul Latif bin Haji Abu Seman, Director General of the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), they exchanged views and information on current challenges and potential collaboration to enhance national as well as regional productivity.

Malaysia has been a member of the APO since 1983 and plays an active role in the productivity movement in the region. The meeting concluded with the commitment to enhance Malaysia’s and the APO’s existing partnership in addressing issues and promoting productivity.
