APO Secretary-General Dr. Indra Pradana Singawinata visited Ulaanbaatar, 13–16 March, in conjunction with the 5th APO Accreditation Body Council meeting held in the Mongolian capital. Dr. Indra met with senior government officials and the Mongolian Productivity Organization (MPO) to discuss and receive updates on national productivity enhancement initiatives.

Strengthening productivity in the public sector was the key topic of discussion in his meeting with Deputy Chief Byambasuren Urgamal, Cabinet Secretariat of the Government of Mongolia. They also agreed to collaborate on enhancing productivity in the private sector such as mining and energy. The meeting was attended by Zorigtbaatar Purev, Head of the Local Governance and Coordination Department, Cabinet Secretariat of the Government of Mongolia; Yamaaranz Erkhembayar, APO Director for Mongolia; and Batbileg Tsagaan, APO Liaison Officer for Mongolia.

Secretary-General Dr Indra also visited the MPO office to receive updates on programs and activities, particularly on the Productivity Specialists’ Certification Program.
