APO Secretary-General Dr. Indra Pradana Singawinata was in Seoul, ROK, on 28 April 2023, in response to a formal invitation from APO Director for the ROK and Korea Productivity Center (KPC) Chairman Wangi Ahn. This was the inaugural visit to the ROK by Dr. Indra after election as APO Secretary-General in September last year. The ROK was one of the APO’s founding members in 1961.

During his visit, Secretary-General Dr. Indra held discussions with KPC senior management and received updates on the organization’s activities and programs. The KPC seeks support from the APO in promoting its services among other APO members such as consultancy on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) frameworks and certification on Practical Competency in ICT. The KPC has submitted a proposal to become the APO Center of Excellence on ESG.

The Secretary-General also called on the offices of leading ICT solution provider DOUZONE for discussions during his official visit. The company has been working with the KPC to encourage digital transformation among Korean enterprises.
