On 24 September, the APO officially launched its first Development of Demonstration Companies (DMP) Project on Productivity Improvement through AI Application in Carbon Accounting and Emission Management through an online meeting. Hosted by the NPO Turkiye, the project featured Reegen Enerji Teknolojileri A.S., a technology company specializing in digital energy intelligence solutions for smart grids, public and commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and data centers in Turkiye, as the participating company.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including senior representatives from the APO Secretariat, NPO Turkiye, Reegen Enerji Teknolojileri A.S., and an AI resource person from Germany. This initiative underscored its timeliness in responding to global emerging trends and its potential to serve as both a pioneering model and a source of inspiration for APO member economies.
This project marked a significant milestone in the APO’s and members’ efforts to harness the power of AI to tackle the critical challenge of sustainability and carbon management. By establishing a demonstration company that leverages AI for carbon accounting and emission management, the initiative highlights the synergy between industry expertise and cutting-edge technology. It showcases the tangible benefits of AI in enhancing both productivity and sustainability, contributing to Turkiye’s goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2053.
