Development of Experts on Auditing Management Systems in Cambodia

2 Oct 2024

The APO Secretariat and National Productivity Centre of Cambodia (NPCC) jointly organized a face-to-face training course on auditing management systems from 19–30 August in Phnom Penh. The event was supported under the Technical Expert Services (TES) Program and attracted 45 participants from governments, industries, academia, and NGOs. The training facilitated NPCC’s efforts towards productivity and quality improvement through the promotion of effective auditing systems.

One international expert from Malaysia conducted sessions on auditing concepts, terminology, standards, management, implementation, reporting, follow-ups, and challenges along with interactive group work and an investigative site visit. The key achievements of the project included the promotion of awareness of concepts and practices related to auditing management systems among the 115 attendees of a seminar on ‘Concept and Practices of Auditing Management System’ as well as the development of a local pool of experts.

The attendees indicated that the training will be beneficial for their work and expressed confidence in their ability to apply lessons learned. The project contributed to the APO Vision 2025 goals of sustained productivity growth and inclusive engagement and shared prosperity.
