Empowering SMEs with digital marketing for competitive growth

From 10 to 13 September 2024, the National Productivity Organization (NPO) Pakistan hosted a workshop on Strategic Marketing for Digital Transformation in Islamabad to enhance the digital marketing capabilities of SMEs in line with the APO Vision 2025. The project was designed to equip participants with knowledge on leveraging digital tools for business growth and resilience.

Twenty-eight participants from 11 APO members attended, supported by two resource persons from Malaysia and one from Pakistan. Through interactive sessions, case studies, and group exercises, participants learned about effective digital marketing strategies to enhance SME competitiveness, including data-driven marketing techniques. The project also aimed to support SMEs in adapting to technological advances and market shifts.

One participant commented, “The workshop was incredibly dynamic and engaging. The opportunity to exchange ideas with participants from such diverse backgrounds was invaluable. We learned so much from each other’s experiences and challenges.” The workshop not only improved digital marketing skills but also fostered collaboration among participants, enabling them to share best practices and further the cause of regional productivity improvement.
