Upon an invitation from an elementary school in Chiba prefecture, Japan, an APO Secretariat representative gave an onsite presentation to 6th-grade students on 2 March as a part of the school’s career development program. The students were introduced to the meaning and importance of “productivity,” using the agriculture sector as an example. They also learned about the importance of international cooperation to promote productivity throughout the Asia-Pacific region based on the combined visions and roles of the APO and NPOs. The Secretariat was delighted to have that opportunity to acquaint young students with the history and future of the productivity movement in the Asia-Pacific and looks forward to their contributions to it.
