In the last few decades, India, which has the world’s second-largest population, has emerged as one of the fastest-growing economies. This has led to rapid increases in energy demand.
The government has evolved systematic polices to follow an energy-efficient pathway. The results are encouraging in many sectors, although more efforts are needed.
Deputy Director Avijit Nayak, National Productivity Council, India, will discuss national energy-efficiency initiatives by tracing policies and their achievements and impacts in different sectors.
