With its current vision ending in 2025, the APO is set to embark on a new chapter in 2026. In preparation for this, the APO held an online consultative workshop on 13 February 2025. This was the first of a four-part series that will engage various stakeholders from APO members: APO Directors, representing their member governments; national productivity organizations (NPOs); Liaison Officers; and relevant organizations working toward productivity advancements.
APO Directors, Alternate Directors, and representatives attended the first consultative workshop. With support from the external consulting firm XSIGHTS and the APO Secretariat, participants engaged in in-depth discussions to conceptualize the “ideal” APO and outline how the organization can make it happen.
In his opening remarks, APO Secretary-General Dr. Indra Pradana Singawinata expressed his hope that the visioning exercise would embody the principles of ownership and results-driven action. He highlighted the importance of the exercise in reminding the APO of its foundational purpose and exploring all the possibilities for the years ahead.
The next consultative workshop is scheduled for 27 February 2025, with NPOs as target participants.
