Workshop on Need Assessment of APO Members in Public-sector Productivity (PSP)

12 Jun 2024

A face-to-face workshop on Need Assessment of APO Members in Public-sector Productivity was implemented 13–17 May in Manila by the Development Academy of the Philippines with the participation of 29 representatives from 14 APO members. Three international (Kazakhstan, the ROK, and Malaysia) and two local resource persons conducted the training and moderated group case study sessions. Presentations focused on the current landscape of the public sector in the Asia-Pacific region and how it relates to the APO Framework on Public-sector Productivity.

Existing productivity challenges and trends within APO members’ public sectors were evaluated to gain insights into the current state, and crucial areas for enhancement and emerging concerns pertaining to PSP were specified. Exchanges of knowledge and best practices among NPOs helped to formulate new strategies and recommendations for improving the efficiency and productivity of the public sector.
