Climate Actions in the Asian Agricultural Sector

This P-Talk highlights the climate actions needed in Asian agriculture drawing from the latest report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. For more sustainable farming practices and higher agricultural productivity with reduced greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, the introduction and replication of climate-friendly agricultural practices and smart technologies are significant. Dr. Toshihiro Hasegawa, Executive Researcher, National Agriculture and Food Research Organization (NARO), Japan, the new APO Center of Excellence on Climate-smart Agriculture, introduces innovative approaches to adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change in the agricultural sector in Asia.
