A well-designed regulation plays an important role in promoting productivity and economic development, thereby enhancing wider social well-being. In the recent APO publication A Regulatory Policy Toolkit to Improve Productivity, Adjunct Scholar Derek Gill, Victoria University of Wellington School of Government, New Zealand, outlines the core components of good practice in the design of regulatory regimes. It also highlights examples of good practices and key resources for those engaged in developing regulatory policy.
