Spillover Effects of Global Value Chains on Productivity

This P-Talk explores the interactions among global value chain (GVC) dynamics, knowledge spillovers, and productivity in the electrical equipment and machinery industry. Dr. Majah-Leah V. Ravago, President and CEO of the Development Academy of the Philippines, leads a dialogue with Dr. Byung Min Soon, Assistant Professor, Chungnam National University, ROK, focusing on the impact of knowledge spillovers on productivity growth, with particular attention to the barriers to international knowledge spillover effects. Dr. Soon shares the findings of an APO research project titled APO Productivity Outlook 2024.
