The Inclusive Workplace

Welcome to the Gemba video series of the Asian Productivity Organization. In Japanese, “gemba” literally means “actual place” but generally refers to a specific site where work is carried out. These videos show good practices at production sites in Japan.

The theme of this video is “The Inclusive Workplace.” It introduces a Japanese company with productivity improvement initiatives based on the inclusion of people with different abilities. In this company, employees with different abilities actively participate in kaizen activities for higher productivity and a better workplace.
