A supportive startup ecosystem involves diverse actors such as businesses, governments, universities, investors, and professional networks. These entities collectively drive innovation and ensure the survival and success of startups. However, as mentioned in an OECD report in 2023, entrepreneurship policies should take into account local circumstances. Their contributions are only impactful when underpinned by robust public policies tailored to meet ecosystem needs.
To continue APO efforts to promote startups in member economies, this workshop will examine critical components of the policy ecosystem, emphasizing how they enable startups in APO members to realize their potential for innovation and productivity growth.
