Good Regulatory Practice (GRP) frameworks encourage innovation, minimize administrative burdens, and stimulate economic growth. Vietnam’s development goals include becoming a high-income country by 2045, and GRP is a crucial tool in achieving that milestone. Faisal Naru, co-founder and director of Think Test Do, UK; with the assistance of Associate Professor Dr. Vu Minh Khuong, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore; and the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality of Vietnam, compiled the publication Vietnam GRP Assessment, a report reviewing GRP principles, which vary by national economy, and comparing the overall “whole-of-government” approaches taken under GRP frameworks to address specific socioeconomic realities in different APO members. Recommendations are offered to implement GRP in more structured, holistic ways to contribute to achieving national goals and improving the overall environment for citizens and businesses. Those working in numerous capacities to implement GRP policies for accelerated development can benefit from the examples and discussions in the APO publication Vietnam GRP Assessment. The APO thanks the authors and secondary contributors for making this publication possible. |
